Pandan's
No. 5
wanted
man falls
Policemen from nearby Caramoran joined members of
the Pandan police force last week in apprehending one of the northernmost
town's most wanted men.
A contingent from Caramoran composed of SPO2 Pedro
Roslin, SPO1 Vicente Pagunuran, and PO3 German Salamena, Jr. linked up
with Pandan lawmen SPO1 Florencio Eubra, SPO1 Joseph Evangelista, PO3
Nestor Eusebio, PO2 Juan Dominguez, PO2 Ruben Rafael, PO1 Bienvenido
Trinidad and PO1 Alvin Icawat last week to arrest Fernando Gevero y
Laurella, 42, a farmer, in barangay Pandan del Sur.
Del Sur had been on the lam from justice after he
was charged of forcible abduction under Criminal Case No. 2795 filed
before the Regional Trial Court Branch 42. Judge Nilo B. Barsaga has set
bail for his temporary liberty at P40,000.
In other news, two men lost their parked motorcycles
to unknown bikenappers last week in an apparent resumption of the series
of vehicle thievery that has stumped police authorities in Virac.
Businessman Ferdinand Napasa told probers that last
Nov. 22 he had parked his black Yamaha RS-100 with plate number 3088
inside the compound of Let's Barbecue in Gogon Centro when it went missing
at 10:30 P.M.
On the other hand, Mike Bualla of barangay San Juan
said his Yamaha RS-100 with plate number 6D-157 was parked near the
Catanduanes Christian Congregation headquarters when it was lost at 12:30
A.M. of Nov. 25. Police have yet to trace the stolen motorcycles.
