Unknown donor's P10-T tops Cheers fundraiser

Ten thousand pesos from a trader who wishes to remain anonymous kicked off the fundraising campaign for the Christmas Cheers 2000, the 13-night entertainment festival that starts this Saturday at Virac's Plaza Rizal.

The Cheers 2000 organizing committee has appealed to the generosity and the Yuletide giving spirit of businessmen, government officials and plain citizens to help in realizing the success of the undertaking. Their contributions, however small, would go a long way in ensuring that the Cheers audience, which mostly hails from poor families, will have a merry season this Christmas.

Among the early birds:

1. Anonymous P10,000.00
2. Atty. Oliver Rodulfo (pledged) 5,000.00
3. MAREM Pension House 500.00 + snacks
4. Engr. & Mrs. Gil Balmadrid 500.00

You can course your donations through the Catanduanes Tribune, Mr. Manding Ala, Msgr. Ping Molina, Mr. Tony Kiong of Vakona Drug and Engr. Monic Genogaling in Lanao.
