More stolen goods from Virac robbery turn up Several pieces of goods believed part of the loot from the robbery of a clothing store in Virac at the height of storm Reming's passage have turned up last week. Gogon Centro resident Francis Tyrone Taule, 19, turned over to police authorities last Nov. 13 four pairs of black sandals trademarked "Layagan" and a pair of black W. Brown maong pants allegedly brought to the Taule residence by one Hazel "Little" Ibayan, 17, of Gogon Sirangan, who wanted it sold by Taule's brother Jansen. Several hours later, one Sharwin Vargas, 22, allegedly created trouble at the Taule residence because his brother Charlie, alias "Maton," had been implicated in the P79,000 robbery at Rosiel's Trading along the national road at midnight of October 27. The still unidentified robbers destroyed three padlocks of the store rented by Rosiel's owner Rosemarie Zafe. The other week, a woman also turned over to policemen a pair of W. Brown pants allegedly left in her house by Charlie Vargas. The pants were positively identified by a Rosiel's saleslady as among the goods taken from the store. In another development, Caramoran police last week nabbed a Tubli resident wanted by the court on rape charges. A team led by SPO2 Pedro Roslin, Sr., SPO1 Ernesto Cabalic, PO2 Beda Samas and PO2 German Salamena, collared Michael Villegas at 5 A.M. of November 12. The suspect's arrest was made on the strength of a warrant of arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 42 in connection with Criminal Case 2711 for rape. Judge Nilo B. Barsaga has denied bail to the suspect for his temporary liberty pending trial. |
