Bato
policemen last week arrested the most wanted man
in town: a barangay councilor charged in court
of having raped his 14-year old daughter thrice
recently.
After
receiving reliable information from a concerned
citizen, a team composed of SPO3 Pablo
Triumfante, SPO3 Francisco Rojas, SPO1 Rodulfo
Timbal and PO3 Edwin Templonuevo proceeded to
barangay Sta. Isabel where they served the
warrant of arrest on Loreto Tano y Templonuevo,
52, separated and a barangay kagawad, last Feb.
26 at 6 A.M.
Tano
has been charged of three counts of rape before
the Municipal Circuit Trial Court of Bato-San
Miguel for having sexually abused his 14-year
old daughter in a forested land in barangay San
Pedro.
In
another development, a farmer in San Miguel is
in hot water after he allegedly slapped his own
nephew.
Victim
Sammy Tindugan y Tuazon, 6, an out-of-school
youth, was near a brook beside their house at
noon of Feb. 23 when his uncle Joel Tindugan y
Tuazon, 34, who was under the influence of
liquor, arrived and without reason slapped the
boy in the face.
The
boy was alone at the time, his parents then at
the farm, but the incident was witnessed by his
grandmother Calixta Moraleda who was about to
fetch water.
Police
said Tindugan's act caused injury prejudicial to
the child's development in violation of the
provisions of Republic Act 7610.
