Las Pinas native busted for shabu A case for violation of Republic Act 6425 has been filed against a Las Pinas native who was caught dealing shabu during a buy-bust operation by Virac police authorities. In his report to PNP provincial director Supt. Freddie O. Panen, Virac police chief Col. Rande V. Rosero identified the suspect as one Jordan Tojon y dela Rosa, 19, single, jobless and a native of 19 Phantom St., St. Aimen's Village, Pulang Lupa II, Las Pinas City temporarily staying at Anita Pura's residence in Eastern Cavinitan. Prior to Tojon's arrest, the Virac police station allegedly received a phone call informing that a certain Jordan will be selling shabu in an alley beside a store in front of the Catanduanes State Colleges campus at about 5:30 P.M. of January 10. SPO1 Noel Sunga and PO1 James Ronatay immediately went to the area and trapped Tojon while handing over to poseur-buyer Jesus Icalabis three plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be methampetamine hydrochloride. Icalabis had reportedly offered his Seiko 5 wristwatch in exchange for the illegal drug. Tojon was reportedly released last Saturday afternoon pending the issuance of a warrant of arrest in connection with Criminal Case 5328 filed against him before the Municipal Trial Court of Virac. In another development, even air rifles are not exempt from the gun ban imposed by the Commission on Elections as a Danicop resident found out last week. Last January 9, a team led by Insp. Raul Destura chanced upon Serafin Sorrera y Conce, 38, married and a laborer, brandishing a Cal. 22 air rifle without appropriate documents inside the Taway welding shop at San Juan. |
