In
his message, Mayor Alberto reiterated his
administration's all-out support for sports,
particularly in tennis and boxing where the
chances of medals are high. He likewise urged
them to carefully evaluate who should handle
government affairs after the May 14 elections,
especially those who have the interests of the
province at heart.
In
behalf of his brother, former NTC Commissioner
Joseph A. Santiago who was in Manila, Leonito
Santiago informed that his brother is out to
regain the lost glory of Catanduanes in regional
sports history, particularly in athletics and
team events. He saluted the new leaders of the
club, saying that the former NTC commissioner
does not play basketball but loves the game so
much, a fancy that was stoked when he was
Mobiline's manager in the PBA wars years ago.
