Duo
fires shots,
mauls customer
A
duo identified only by their surnames wrought
terror in two nightspots in the capital town
last week, firing gunshots in the air and
mauling a customer.
Merlin's
Place manager Erlinda Ubalde, 47, told police
authorities that at about 1:45 A.M. of Feb. 4, a
group of persons led by a certain Regalado and
one surnamed Isidoro entered her establishment
to order beer and "pulutan." However,
due to the unavailability of a waiter, the group
was forced to leave. While just outside the
gate, the group reportedly fired three shots.
Ubalde found near the gate two empty shells of a
Cal. 45 firearm.
A
few hours before, Lyndon Araojo, 23, single and
a resident of San Isidro Village, was drinking
beer at Hang-Out Videoke and Retaurant in San
Vicente when, without any provocation, a certain
Regalado of Francia kicked him on the body.
After about a minute, Regalado and a certain
Isidoro, who identified himself as a member of
the anti-narcotics police, helped each other in
mauling Araojo.
Several
hours earlier, Nelson Sarmiento and his wife
were sleeping inside their San Pablo residence
when they were awakened by a hard object hitting
their house, suspecting that somebody was
stoning their house. The report said the couple
later investigated the hole and found two slugs
of a Cal. 45, with the bullet punching through
the nipa roofing and going thru the lawanit
wall.
