Lions, Class `57 medical, dental mission Feb. 1-3

The Marikina Valley (Host) Lions Club. Inc. and the Catanduanes College Class `57 Foundation, Inc. will conduct a medical and dental mission in Viga and free cataract operation in Virac this February.

CC Class `57 Foundation president Ramon T. Bagadiong said the Viga medical and dental mission will be held in Viga this February 2 while  the club’s Sight First Project: Oplan Tanggal Katarata will span three days from Feb. 1-3 at the Eastern Bicol Medical Center in the capital town. Bagadiong, a businessman who hails from Antipolo del Sur in Virac, is also Deputy Cabinet Treasurer of the Marikina Valley Lions Club

According to the tentative schedule, the group will be traveling via Philtranco Executive Coach from Manila on Jan. 30 and will arrive at noon the following day in Virac.

Heading the joint mission will be Lions Club International District 301-D2 District Governor Johnny T. Co, who reportedly stayed in Viga when he was just eight years old and known as “Eng To.” He will be joined by Vice District Governor Alejo M. Dumrique and Firstsight Project Manager Rodolfo L. Sese.

Pre-screening of prospective cataract patients will be held at the clinic of Dr. Joselito Urgel in Gogon, Virac.
