Osorio heads San Andres retirees

The San Andres Retirees Association (SARA) has elected its new set of officers, headed by former Bureau of Immigration and Deportation (BID) official Victorio Osorio as president.

Also chosen during the association's last regular monthly meeting held last December 10 with more than 45 active members in attendance were: Andres Gajero (Forestry), vice president; Mrs. Rufina T. Osorio (MTC), secretary; Mrs. Carmen del Rosario (MEC), assistant secretary; Ms. Virginia Soneja (DECS), treasurer; Ms. Leonor Manlangit (DECS), assistant treasurer; Metodio de Loyola (Bureau of Posts), auditor; and, Rogelio A. Maglaqui (DILG), MMO. All past presidents will serve as advisers of the association's new officers who will serve from January 1 to December 31, 2001.

It was also announced that SARA will co-sponsor the town's Christmas Cheers this coming December 22, with selected members engaging in early preparations for the program. The incoming SARA officers have scheduled their oath-taking in the last Sunday of this month. (RAMaglaqui)
